Developing a Powerful Mindset / Week two

2. Positive Attitude - Focusing on the good in situations and having a growth mindset.

The number one advice i can give you to achieve a positive attitude is to start your day positive. Wake up and think positive, say positive things, and most of all allow the feeling of positivity overwhelm you. BE GRATEFUL.


I wake up smiling and in a good mood pretty much every day. It has been determined in my house that no one likes me until after they have had their coffee or its at least past 9am. ( i am usually awake by 5am.)


I'm the guy that gets asked "why are you so happy in the morning?"(followed by a growl). My answer is, "because i get to annoy you today."(followed by an evil laugh). Then i proceed to be obnoxious until i get a smile from someone else.


I figure i have two choices every day. Have a great day or have a crappy day. Until i have a legitimate reason to have a crappy day then why the heck would i have one?


When you first wake up in the morning nothing bad, negative, or crappy has happened, CORRECT?


Then why do we wake up in a bad mood ready to have a bad day?

a. It is what it is.

b. Thats just the way it is.

c. Because my life sucks.

d. I always have bad days.

e. It just always seems to go wrong no matter what i do.

I could go on and on with the excuses but i think you get the point.


The truth is this. IF YOU THINK YOU WILL HAVE A BAD DAY, YOU WILL. IF YOU THINK YOU WILL HAVE A GOOD DAY, YOU WILL.


Every reason you can think of to have a bad day has something to do with your past which is behind you, or with an untold future that hasn't been lived.


How about for just one day live in that day and that day only? Allow yourself to see, hear, and feel, only the great things that ARE around you every moment of every day. Stop allowing the day to control you and take command of your life and control the day. When that day goes better than usual the follow it up with another day of finding great things in your life. And continue this pattern FOREVER.


Don't misunderstand me and think i never have bad crap happen to me. I definitely do. I just won't allow it to take over my whole day. That's having a life with a positive attitude.


One of the rules of Karma is "Whatever energy and thoughts you put out in the universe; you get back."


All i'm saying is that you have positivity, happiness, and love waiting to bust out of you every day. If you choose to let them.


Choice is our most powerful superpower.


I choose to be positive, how about you?
