I definitely recommend doing a Gratitude Journal every day. The problem I hear people talk about after doing a journal for a few weeks is they feel like they run out of things to write down, or they start writing down the same things over and over.
Coming up with new things to be grateful for is very challenging for most people mainly because it feels like we live in a very ungrateful world. Everything seems so challenging and coming up with answers for these challenges feels impossible.
Usually, we look for gratitude outside of ourselves. We look at our kids, husbands, wives, moms, and dads. We look at our friends and coworkers. We look at our belongings such as house and vehicles.
WE FORGET TO LOOK AT OURSELVES.
WE FORGET TO GIVE OURSELVES CREDIT.
WE FORGET JUST HOW GREAT WE ARE.
Let me inform you of your greatness, and how to find it in yourself.
In the next few days take some QUIET time by yourself and start writing.
Write down EVERYTHING in your life that you're grateful for. As you start writing EVRYTHING, I want you to think of this list like this.
Only what you write on this list will you be allowed to have in your life the next day. Go deep and don't forget anything.
I am grateful for my hands, fingers, fingernails, arms, skin, the ability to feel, touch, move my arm up and down and side to side, that my elbow bends, and strength in my arms.
This was just an example of how deep you can go with gratitude on any one item about yourself, and I could have kept going with just my arms and hands.
You are the most powerful thing in your world and its time you started giving yourself credit for that. You should be most grateful for yourself above anything else in your life.
Without you everyone around you would have different lives. Smaller lives. Not as fulfilled lives.
Without you the world is literally a smaller and emptier place.
So just like I said at the beginning of this blog, I would definitely recommend everyone do a gratitude journal. Only now you have a new perspective on how to look at your most amazing life and those around you.
I am grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you so much for being a part of my life and journey.
